There are lots of people who have seemingly EXTRAORDINARY talents in this world. But, this is way different with the VERY EXTRAORDINARY story of Tony Melendez! Boy, he’s one EXTRAORDINARY guitarist you’ll ever see!
Back when he was young, Tony is very exceptional!
Born as a “Thalidomide Baby” – a term used for children who are embryonically affected by the drug Thalidomide- having no arms and hands. Because of this, Tony was faced with many challenges since infancy.
However, as the old man’s tale, “Behind every cloud lies a silver lining”. Tony never let his disability slow him down.
Until the age of 10, Tony wore artificial arms. But then, he realized he’s proficiency with his feet. The prosthetic arms were useless.
I do not feel comfortable anymore. I could use my feet so much more.”
Thus, he decided to tossed them off and began something INCREDIBLE with the use of his feet.
Indeed, Tony is a man full of faith! He began his career on how wonderfully he strums the strings of his guitar. Now, he has toured worldwide, performed in front of the Pope and released 6 phenomenal albums, all with no arms.
Watch his inspiring talent on the video below. Having no arms and hands, this man performed “Let It Be” into a whole new level.
