A 10-year-old Vietnamese girl was left burned, blinded in one eye and unable to breathe properly after experiencing an inhumane acid attack by a stranger near her home.
Nobody knew the reason why a stranger poured acid on her but a good Samaritan is finding ways to change the young Vietnamese girl’s life. A kind-hearted hairdresser has been helping Nhi’s treatment since the day they met last year. The woman has raised thousands of pounds to pay for her life-changing treatment.
Since that fateful day, Wendy has raised more than £5,000 to pay for Nhi’s treatment and medication, that made the poor girl to undergo operation to help her breath properly.
I was appalled by what I saw and aware that the girl’s mother was extremely poor and that in Vietnam there is no national health service. I decided to embark on a fundraising initiative to pay for essential basic medical treatment that Nhi requires,” Wendy said.
But despite all these, Wendy is determined to keep raising funds for Nhi’s ongoing and future treatment and surgery.
