A dance video of Bruno Mars’, “Uptown Funk” featuring students and a teacher from Dallas ISD’s A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School is going viral online.
A well-dressed, hip-shaking teacher at A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School in Dallas brought students out of the classroom for an impressive dance break set to Mark Ronson’s infectious hit “Uptown Funk.” The video’s YouTube description calls the funky performance,
“A great example of how a bunch of technology students let go of their fears, trusted their teacher.”
Teacher Scot Pankey dances his way through the halls of the high school as different groups of students stop throughout the school to join him.
Pankey said the video was all done in one take and it culminates with a large number of students and Pankey dancing together to the Billboard Hot 100 hit.
So proud of my kids. This is a great example of how a bunch of technology students dropped their fears, trusted their teacher and got down to Uptown Funk!!!!” – Pankey wrote on Facebook.
“Don’t believe ’em, just watch!”
The video was even shot by a student, walking backwards through hallways and up and down staircases. Hmmmm pretty impressive!
Not only that, the groups of students are dancing and wearing the same color clothing. Some of them have better dance skills than others, but they all look like they’re having fun. And the really cool part? The teenaged cameraman is walking backwards the whole time!
Watch what this high school teacher did that will make your day ‘FUNKY’!
